Thanks for highlighting Canadian authors, as they go on my "Audiobook search" list. In your recent blog on the blurbs for the upcoming novel, I found Mindful of Murder, and The Mystery of Right and Wrong. I listen to about 70 audiobooks a year, and I will say these are two of the most exceptional recordings. Both books change the 'character point-of-view' each chapter, and the audiobook "readers" give great performances, that enhance the book notably (e.g. the poetry chapters of Mystery of Right & Wrong). So thank you so much for bringing other authors to my attention.
Great post, Terry! It came at exactly the right moment too. I had just been thinking about what to recommend for next year’s book club (which you have kindly attended in the past - off the wall questions included!) Your post has given me lots of great Canadian suggestions! Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this, Terry. I always try to read all Leacock long-listed books, and have enjoyed many of this year's submissions already. Shout-outs to Natalie Sue, the other finalists, and all those long-listed. My entry (Other Than That, I'm Fine) wasn't among them, but no matter: I love Canadian wit and applaud any and all who attempt to share it. Thanks, Terry, for taking all of us to the party with this post!
Thanks for this, Terry. Almost like being there (minus the food I guess). It's great to know the Leacock Trust continues its wonderful work, with no murmurs about cutbacks etc. And even a significant increase in the prize!
Hi Terry. I enjoyed your gala recap very much and am happy to see Rod Carley included in the festivities and your photo. Like yourself, Rod joined us at Clarence-Rockland public library for a few hours on a recent Sunday afternoon. I look forward to reading these Canadian humour stories and perhaps Robin will invite one of the authors to our library. Take care and enjoy the summer. Elaine Stevenson
Thanks for the great recap. It's wonderful to celebrate the accomplishments of Canadian writers!

My pleasure, Dave. Susan Juby is friend and fellow Leacock Medal winner. She’s a terrific writer.

Thanks Elaine. Rod is a good friend and a great writer. I'm glad you invited him to the library.
