My goodness!! A breathtaking moment in the birthing process of your book!! I can almost feel contractions!! And as I’ve been told during labour, go with the pain!! As if!!
Sounds exhausting, but to continue the laboured metaphor, congratulations for producing your tenth novel!!
Thanks for this glimpse into what a professional marketing effort looks like. But what about reviews in the media, do they happen on their own or will somebody on your team be out there beating the bushes for reviewers? Or are they maybe not that important? In any case, best wishes, and I look forward to reading and chipping in my positives wherever I can.
There are fewer and fewer media outlets that run reviews anymore so the few that do are sent Advance Reading Copies of the novel by the media/publicity team at McClelland & Stewart/Penguin Random House. Then we hope for the best!
Can't wait Terry. So glad to meet you and have a great chat last night at Georgina Centre for Arts and Culture. Looking forward to The Marionette! Hoping to come to Uxbridge.
I not keen on the name, Hunter Chase...perhaps a little too contrived. It reminds me of the movie star a while ago, Rip Torn. ;-(
Otherwise LOOKING FORWARD to this new novel!

My tongue was planted firmly in my cheek when I chose that name. Yes, it’s intentionally very Hollywood.
Looking forward to some international intrigue that amuses rather than abuses. ❤️
Congratulations, Terry! Looking forward to putting The Marionette at the top of my reading pile in October :-)
Thank you, John!
Just preordered from Indigo :-)

Thanks, Judith! It is indeed a crazy time, but the pain is quite manageable!
Best wishes for a delightful book launch! Wish I could be there cheering! Lucy
Thanks, Lucy!

Shamelessly plug away! It's your platform! Although I think you're preaching to the choir here - we've all likely pre-ordered it!
Cannot wait until Oct 7!
Preordered & so looking forward to reading The Marionette.
