Oh Terry! I remember when you came to Vancouver eons ago to speak about your journey to getting 'traditionally' published. I did not even know what a podcast was back then!
The one thing I regret doing before I retired was going into the archive room in Beaverton and retrieving the copy of your self- published book! Thank you for always being so informative and supportive Terry! Hope to see you soon!
I had wondered about how you had gotten that first one out there. Great story - cannot believe that you didn't even get a rejection letter. I think that silence is worse. Bet that those publishers were kicking themselves afterwards! Wasn't it hard to go with a publisher after you had proven yourself as a writer? I would have been ticked for a while..... but that's just me. Bwahahahaha
I confess when McClelland & Stewart made an offer, I ran into their arms as fast as I could lest they change their minds! You'll read about that in coming weeks. So far so good.
Oh, I can so identify with your journey! And then I got you to speak at WCC in London Ontario. (After your Leacock) Thanks for giving me the idea for my next newsletter coming out in two weeks, Terry! And thanks for encouraging me on my own writing journey!
